      Do I have to be booked onto a course before applying for the funding?

      Applying for the DfE Grant before booking your place on your course

      The DfE advises that you apply for the funding first and then apply for your course place.

      We don't mind if you book with us before applying, but we will ask you on your booking form if you have (or intend to) apply for DfE funding.

      Further information is provided in the grant conditions.

      IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE DFE

      • Form 1 of your application must be submitted by 31 December 2024 – grants cannot be reserved after this date
      • Form 2 of your application must be submitted by 31 January 2025 – schools and colleges need to upload evidence of their booking and complete their grant claim by this date so that the DfE can pay you
