How do I find courses?
Here we will explain how you can use our search bar and our filters to find the course you are looking for.
Use the Library to search every course, or Explore to browse by topic and role.
In the Library, type a word into "Search the Library", such as anxiety, phonics or ADHD. Search looks at course titles, descriptions and what's said in the videos, so typing a presenter's name, such as Pooky Knightsmith, usually finds their courses.
The filters narrow the list down:
- Subject: Safeguarding, Health and Wellbeing, SEND, Behaviour, Leadership, Teaching and Learning, Curriculum, or Other topics
- For: your role, such as teacher, teaching assistant or senior leader
- Phase: such as primary or secondary
- Up to: how long the course takes
- Format: courses or webinar recordings
- Only courses I can open: hides anything your membership doesn't include
- Only saved courses: the ones you've saved for later
Some courses have been renamed or replaced since our old website. If you can't find one by its old name, search for its topic instead, such as "behaviour" or "allergies". If your school asked you to do a particular course, it'll be on My learning under To do. If it isn't there, ask the person who set it.
Explore shows shelves of courses: collections on a theme, series to work through in order, and a shelf for your role. Choose your role and that shelf fills with courses that suit it.
Each course page shows how long the course takes and how many CPD hours it counts for.
We don't have a course on every topic. If search doesn't find anything, try a broader word (such as "medical" instead of the name of a condition). If there's still nothing, we don't have one yet, and you're welcome to tell us what you'd like at happytohelp@creativeeducation.co.uk.
