What does the Creative Education Senior Mental Health Leads Programme look like?

Information about the Programme and Delivery

Creative Education’s training will cover all of the learning outcomes outlined by DfE for mental health leads. This will include exploring the whole school approach to supporting both student and staff mental health.

Here is a link to our programme for further information.

The Creative Education course will be run online and face to face, the choice is yours which option you would prefer. See more details below on both options.

This may be different for other training provider courses.

The Creative Education online course will run over two terms. Expect to commit to around 2 hours per week in On Demand training (plus any self-study), and 90 minutes per coaching circle. There are 6 Coaching Circles to attend as well as a Launch and Completion live webinar, all via Zoom.  You will also have access to pre-recorded On-Demand training and webinar playbacks.

Regarding course content:

  • Firstly you will have access to a suite of On-Demand courses and webinar playbacks to support you in your role. Some of these will be mandatory and some will be optional.
  • You will also be matched with other participants to form Coaching Circles. Led by an experienced mental health lead to support you, here you will work on the development and implementation of personalised action plans and share ideas with your group. The six Coaching Circle sessions, consisting of approximately 12 participants, will be spread out across the two terms.
  • You will have access to Creative Education's mental health network which will include regular topical webinars, Q&A sessions and ideas sharing sessions.
  • Access to our Staff Development Toolkit
  • A Personal Skills and Confidence Audit to identify areas for personal growth and development
  • A baseline audit of your setting's current mental health provision to identify key areas for development
  • Train the Trainer support and resources to enable you to cascade key messages and lessons
